Track Attack & Junior Development 

Track Attack (Ages 10 to 14+)

Track Attacker focuses on 'Learning to Train'. This program is the beginning of 'Learning to Train' for our developing athletes. For young skiers whose goal is to refine their classic and skate technique in a fun environment as part of a team. A wide variety of skiing activities will be used to develop Nordic skiing knowledge and skills. Participation in local ski events is encouraged but not required. Skiing experience is required for this program. Completion of Jackrabbit levels or coaches’ assessment is  required for participation. 

TIME: Saturdays 9:30AM to 12PM

STARTS: December 3rd, 2016

ENDS: February 25th, 2017

COST: $250

The Junior Development Team (Ages 10 to 14+)

This competitive group that is interested in training, attending local races and participating in the Ontario Midget Championships. The athletes are introduced to training and racing technique, developing physical strength, balance and flexibility to support their technique and educational sport components such as self-responsibility, nutrition, equipment maintenance (waxing) and goal setting. We introduce competition at the club level, attendance at Southern Ontario Club races is optional. Cost for travel are in addition to the core fee. Participation in the fall Saturday dry land training is required for these athletes, and is included in the registration cost. Completion of Jackrabbit levels or coaches' assessment is required for participation. 

Dryland Training

TIME: Saturdays 9:30AM to 12PM

STARTS: September 24th, 2016

Winter Training

TIMES: Wednesdays 5PM to 6:30PM (once the snowflies), Saturdays 9:30AM to 12PM AND Sundays from 10:30AM to 12PM

STARTS: December 3rd, 2016

ENDS: February 25th, 2017

COST: $400
