Highland's Summer Activities Report

Course is open and is in good shape.
We have always been a little go with the flow with the dog on leash rules but we have had an incident with a dog and one of our animals. We will be strictly enforcing that dogs must be on leash while on our property. Even the best trained dogs can be unpredictable when exposed to something new (like farm animals). Mama sheep has been checked over by the vet and her wound is healing just fine. Thanks in advance for being proactive in this matter.
The archery course will be set up and in use during the week of August 17 to 21. Please be patient and give all campers the right of way.
Road Report
Whats a summer without a little road construction? If you have been out playing this week you will have noticed that the 10th Concession between County Rd 91 and 124 is torn up. Getting the job done in one go was not in the cards so we are going to see the work spaced out throughout all of August.
It does say Road Closed as you turn onto 10th Concession. This is a case of you can ignore that sign and drive through to access Highlands Nordic. If there is active work happening they will have folks directing traffic.

Disc Golf
Open
The Highlands Nordic Disc Golf 18 Hole Course is open daily from 9AM to sundown. We are a privately owned family run facility. Payment can be done onsite by cash. Register your name & vehicle at the “Hut” by Hole One.
Mountain Biking
Open
Highlands Nordic is not open to the public for mountain biking. Although we do have a relationship with local travelling club CORC (Collingwood Off Road Cycling). All CORC members have access to our mountain bike trails!
Outdoor Education
Closed
Highlands offers core curriculum based programs. We are An Experiential Learning Centre on over 100 Acres of Niagara Escarpment, a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve!
