Today's Report
8:30 Update:
We have fully shifted to snow! It is sitting at zero degrees with about 1cm of snow already fallen. This snow will make a big difference especially on the downhills. It will be pretty good skiing overall. Roads in the area are clear and not icy. Hope to see you soon βοΈ
We saw some rain and freezing rain overnight and it is just starting to transition now to snow. The trails are not icy, they are soft. Although we may see some icy sections on the downhills that have been snowplowed. Again Chanse needs to keep machinery off otherwise it is just going to make more of a mess.
It is thin up Sugar Shack Hill and out Rainbow Out. Once up top the coverage is much better with just an early season roll. With a thin spot on Hawberry.
Blue, Yellow, and Orange are open.
Early season snow is not for beginners and we are suggesting rock skis. There are thin spots throughout the network and we have our early season roll on the trails that will stick around until there is more snow to be able to push around to make the trails flatter.
THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO WALKING ON THE TRAILS. Walking on the trails can do lasting damage. If we want to go for a walk visit the front desk and we can give you directions to several Bruce Trail starting points.
Lessons and rentals will not be available until snow conditions have improved.Β
