Conditions for February 4, 2024

Another stellar day to be out on the trails! Keep those PB’s and Strava Crowns coming! A great day for Demo Day. Come test out some gear from Salomon, Rossignol & Madshus from 10 to 3! Don’t forget to enter into the draw as you walk into the ProShop. Chanse has regroomed everything with the Husky and conditions will be more of the same as what we have had the last couple of days. It is a fast groomed granular where you can still get an edge and have control. The best timing for a ski is first thing.

Chanse has switched the track to the left side of the trail again. This strategy helps keeps the base firm across the whole trail. The skate skiers will pack down the snow to be able to make a firm track.

Overall conditions are in very good shape. There are a few things to note.

We are starting to see some thin spots on Woolner Loop, top of Quarry and Teal’s Tango. Once people start to snowplow our fine layer of snow will get pushed off. I would say most of the hills were fine. The hill that was the worst of it was coming down from Larrys Glacier and the Recreational downhill. If you ever don’t feel comfortable please take your skis off and walk down the side of the trail. The snow will make a big shift to a sugary corn snow mid day as it gets warmer.
