Our Cancellation Policy
Highlands Nordic is committed to delivering a positive and memorable experience for all our Seasonβs Pass Holders and/or Guests. We understand that plans can change, and while we do our best to be flexible, maintaining a smooth operation - especially during peak seasons - requires clear and fair policies.
These cancellation policies are designed to ensure all Season Pass Holders and/or Guests have the opportunity to enjoy our facilities while allowing us to manage resources, staff and availability efficiently. Our goal is to support our community with a system that is both considerate of unexpected changes and respectful of the needs operating as a small family run business.
Please take a moment to review the policies below so we can continue to provide the best possible experience for everyone.
Note the admin fee goes towards the cost of the credit card fee charges incurred. We are charged these fees when you make a purchase and when making a refund.
Events (eg SipβnβSki or Womenβs Day)
- More than 2 weeks before the event: 100% refund minus an admin fee of 10% of the cost or a 100% credit to be used within 2 years
- 1-2 weeks before the event: 75% refund minus an admin fee of 10% of the cost or a 75% credit to be used within 2 years
- Less than 1 week before the event: 50% refund minus an admin fee of 10% of the cost or a 75% credit to be used within 2 years
*Event cancellation by HN due to weather:Β a new event date will be provided, if it conflicts with with participants scheduleΒ - events 100% refund minus an admin fee of 10% of the cost or a 100% credit to be used within 2 years
Lesson SeriesΒ
If Highlands Nordic cancels a lesson due to poor weather, an alternative date or a credit will be offered. Note that when a cancellation occurs we do not make the decision lightly. We take the safety of our customers and staff very seriously.
Individuals wishing to withdraw from a program:
- More than 2 weeks before the first lesson: 100% refund minus an admin fee of 10% of the cost or a 100% credit to be used within 2 years
- Less than 2 weeks weeks before the first lesson: 75% refund minus an admin fee of 10% of the cost or a 75% credit to be used within 2 years
- Less than 1 week before the first lesson: 50% refund minus an admin fee of 10% of the cost or a 50% credit to be used within 2 years
- Less than 48hr notice: No refund will be issued for program withdrawal requests less than 48 hours before the first lesson.
Cold Weather Policy for Lessons
Temperatures noted in the policies below will be taken from the Weather Network forecasts based on data for Feversham, one to two days prior to the day of the program.
- At temperatures at or below -20C, without wind chill, programs will be cancelled.
- If extreme weather (winds, freezing rain) creates conditions that make the trails unsafe for skiers, then lessons will be cancelled.
This agreement confirms enrolment in the lesson series.
Once the series begins, payment is final regardless of attendance, completion or the number of lessons attended due to personal schedules.
Day Camp
We know β plans change!
- More than 2 weeks before the first day of camp: 100% refund minus the $65 non-refundable deposit
- 1 to 2 weeks before the first day of camp: 75% refund minus the $65 non-refundable deposit
- Less than 1 week before the first day of camp: No refund will be issued for program withdrawal requests less than a week before the first day of camp.
Individual Days:
Unfortunately, individual days missed for any reason cannot be credited or refunded. Similarly, individual days cannot be made up during a different session. This includes if a camper misses the majority of a week due to illness.

We are so confident in our camp program and our professional team of camp counsellors that we have no problem guaranteeing your camperβs enjoyment of camp! After your camper attends their first three consecutive days of camp, if they do not want to continue to come to camp, you will be refunded for the final two days of camp.
