Today's Report
Itβs going to be another great day on the trails. Itβs starting off a bit cooler but will warm up to -7 by 1pm. Trails are in good shape! Chanse has ginzue groomed to clean up the skate lane. The track is still good from yesterday. Tealβs Tango, Green, Blue, Yellow, Orange, Back Red, Millennium Loop and Quarry Loop are open. Tealβs Tango, Back Red and Hawberry Loop may be little thin in sections.Β
On the weekend tickets will be sold out of the ticket hut. Rentals will come through the second set of doors, all other building uses like ProShop and washrooms will come through the main doors (third set of doors).
Fat biking is open and is still riding really well. There will be a small selection that around the Quarry that is poor riding. But overall riding is in great shape.Β Follow @highlandsfatbike on Instagram for daily updates on conditions.
Rental & Lesson Update: We are still working on our online system so we will continue to take bookings by phone for rentals and lessons.Β Once a reservation has been made, payment and filling out the rental form can be completed onsite. We will just take bookings up to Sunday January 15.Β
Please call 705-444-6959.
Thanks in advance for your patience.
A couple of things we should remember heading to the season.
β A BUFF IS NOT A MASK. You need to keep a clean and dry mask to wear within 50 metres of the facility.
β please park in the lower parking lot. The upper lot is reserved for staff and groomers.
β Contact tracing needs to be completed each you come. Not the night before. This will only need to be shown in if come into the building.
We request you complete the online Contact Tracing and screening when coming onto the PROPERTY the day you are visiting. You should complete this before you come to ski or snowshoe or fat bike. You cannot do this the night before. This is a public health requirement. This screening will be checked ONLY whenΒ entering the building. Entry is through the pro shop doors. Note that cell service may not be good enough to fill out the online form onsite. Once the screening and tracing is complete you will receive an email. Take a screen shot of your contact tracing so it easy to find if you are planning on coming into the building! If the email you receive has come back red, it means you have answered YES to one of the screen questions. In that case public health regulations mean you are NOT able to ski at our location that day. If the email you receive comes back green, we will see you on the trails shortly! As a back-up we will have a paper copy that can be filled out onsite. Click here to contact trace.Β This must be completed every day you come skiing!
Our conditions texting update program is back!Β We update the conditions page every morning, but sometimes things change through the day. With this program updates will come directly to you as a text. No app download required. Your phone number will not be shared. These updates are not to replace checking the conditions page, but to update you on changes through the day.Β Send you cell phone number to ski@highlandsnordic.ca
