Today's Report
8am update: Chanse has gone around the network and it is looking like we have some rock skiing today! First Finger, Second Finger, to Back Orange is open. Now we admit itβs not great skiing but it is skiable Β especially up top. Getting up will be the worst of it. Coming down if you donβt feel comfortable walk along the edge of the trail. Do NOT walk down the middle please! This snow is precious. What we have open is for experienced skiers only. Β Β
If you are a fat biker the trails are ready for you! Riding is good (studs not required), but you will need good tires. Happy riding!
Down below you will see the rules for Contact Tracing have changed. Please read that through before coming.
When we use βrock skiingβ to describe the trails it means that the base is still thin and you likely donβt want to use your good skis because there isnβt full snow coverage.
Rock skiing is for experienced skiers only. We wont be doing rentals or lessons just yet.Β
A BUFF IS NOT A MASK. You need to keep a clean and dry mask to wear within 50 metres of the facility.
We request you complete the online Contact Tracing and screening when coming onto the PROPERTY the day you are visiting. We request that you complete this before you come to ski or snowshoe or fat bike. You cannot do this the night before. This is a public health. This screening will be checked only when entering the building. Entry is through the pro shop doors.
Note that cell service may not be good enough to fill out the online form onsite. Once the screening and tracing is complete you will receive an email. Take a screen shot of your contact tracing so it easy to find if you are planning on coming into the building! If the email you receive has come back red, it means you have answered YES to one of the screen questions. In that case public health regulations mean you are NOT able to ski at our location that day. If the email you receive comes back green, we will see you on the trails shortly!
As a back-up we will have a paper copy that can be filled out onsite.
Click here to contact trace.Β This must be completed every day you come skiing!
Our conditions texting update program is back!Β We update the conditions page every morning, but sometimes things change through the day. With this program updates will come directly to you as a text. No app download required. Your phone number will not be shared. These updates are not to replace checking the conditions page, but to update you on changes through the day.Β Send you cell phone number to ski@highlandsnordic.ca
