Today's Report

10am update: There is not quite enough snow for Teal’s Tango. Hopefully the snow this week will get it open.
8am update: Light snow is falling and we have managed to open up some trails for rock skiing. It’s not great but it’s skiing. Since we are starting from scratch again we have just a small amount of base, but it looks like we will have the Orange open with Teal’s Tango. On the lower part of the network will have some icy sections underneath the fresh snow.
Chanse is rolling right now, so please do not come out to the trails until 9.Β

The driveway will be icy under the new snow. Please be careful driving and walking in.

The snow just started around 6. There has been some accumulation in the last hour. Chanse is heading out now to see what’s what. We will report back at 730.

Fat biking is open. The trails will be snow covered, although it’s light enough to ride through. Riding will still be pretty good.

When we use β€œrock skiing” to describe the trails it means that the base is still thin and you likely don’t want to use your good skis because there isn’t full snow coverage.
Rock skiing is for experienced skiers only. We wont be doing rentals or lessons just yet.Β

A BUFF IS NOT A MASK. You need to keep a clean and dry mask to wear within 50 metres of the facility.

We request you complete the online Contact Tracing and screening when coming onto the PROPERTY the day you are visiting. You should complete this before you come to ski or snowshoe or fat bike. You cannot do this the night before. This is a public health requirement. This screening will be checked ONLY when entering the building. Entry is through the pro shop doors.

Note that cell service may not be good enough to fill out the online form onsite. Once the screening and tracing is complete you will receive an email. Take a screen shot of your contact tracing so it easy to find if you are planning on coming into the building! If the email you receive has come back red, it means you have answered YES to one of the screen questions. In that case public health regulations mean you are NOT able to ski at our location that day. If the email you receive comes back green, we will see you on the trails shortly!
As a back-up we will have a paper copy that can be filled out onsite.

Click here to contact trace.Β This must be completed every day you come skiing!

Our conditions texting update program is back!Β We update the conditions page every morning, but sometimes things change through the day. With this program updates will come directly to you as a text. No app download required. Your phone number will not be shared. These updates are not to replace checking the conditions page, but to update you on changes through the day.Β Send you cell phone number to ski@highlandsnordic.ca
