Today's Report
The trails have cleaned up nicely this morning for you! Chanse is cruising around the Husky this morning after we have received a nice little top up of snow. Today is a total classic ski day (of course you can still skate!). It will be a bit soft and with the cold snow will be a bit slow. Snow is currently falling so you will find the trails a bit snow covered.
You may have noticed it is a little chilly out there. Let me tell a few tips to work with these colder temperatures!
- Layers are your friend. I would suggest add one more slightly heavier layer (like a light fleece) or 2 light to mid layers.
- Make sure your face is protected. Add something like a buff to cover you face. Also adding a protective product to your face will also help, although that will help more with wind. Sunscreen or vaseline are a couple options.
- Don’t ski for as long! Break up your ski into shorter laps and come in for a warm up in-between (cinnamon bun break anyone π)
- We all know the wind can make a big difference when we are spending time outside. Choose a trail in the trees to stay a bit more protected in the shelter of trees.
Bottom line don’t let the cold scare you off! You may discover you can enjoy being outside even when it is cold. It also isn’t particularly windy today which can make a huge difference.
Everything is open, including the Woolner Loop. There are a few wet spots on the Woolner Loop.
THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO WALKING ON THE SKI TRAILS. Walking on the trails can do lasting damage.
