Conditions for January 25, 2024

Here we are again with another year past after the passing of Larry. I will admit this is the first year I don’t really have words to pull together so I will keep it simple. He would just be baffled by this stupid weather, he would have thought the bathrooms upgrades could have been money could have been spent on machinery (although he would have admitted that they look awesome), he would have been jazzed about the heat pumps (always one to be excited about technology) and he would have given a big old thumbs up and grin with a “right on” to all of the new people who tried cross country skiing this past weekend.

We had a gentle rain all night which is the best we could have hoped for. It seems like we have managed to hold onto our base. It is still white out there! But for today we will close the trails to help preserve the snow. The snow is in a very vulnerable state and machinery and people will do a lot of damage. The ProShop will be open from 9 to 4.

THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO WALKING ON THE SKI TRAILS. Walking on the trails can do lasting damage.
