Conditions for January 7, 2022

Rental & Lesson Update:

We are getting our online booking system up and running for lessons and rentals. There were a few more pieces that came up that we weren’t ready for! So for now we will be taking reservations over the phone. 

Once a reservation has been made, payment and filling out the rental form can be completed onsite. 

We will just take bookings up to Monday, January 10 for now in the hopes we will have the online system ready for beyond that time.

A lovely bit of fresh snow has fallen. Chanse is out ginzue grooming. Teal’s Tango, Green, Blue, Yellow, Orange and Quarry Loop are open. It will be soft skiing in our little winter wonderland and maybe a little snow covered. It is currently snowing lightly.

No night skiing tonight. We will start next week!
Rentals and lessons will be offered this weekend! Just putting the final touches on our online booking. I will have an update for that at noon.

Fat biking is open. Riding will be a challenge today. Trails will be snow covered and heavy drifting in areas. They will groom today, hoping for better riding tomorrow. Follow @highlandsfatbike on Instagram for daily updates on conditions.

 A BUFF IS NOT A MASK. You need to keep a clean and dry mask to wear within 50 metres of the facility. We request you complete the online Contact Tracing and screening when coming onto the PROPERTY the day you are visiting. You should complete this before you come to ski or snowshoe or fat bike. You cannot do this the night before. This is a public health requirement. This screening will be checked ONLY when entering the building. Entry is through the pro shop doors.

Note that cell service may not be good enough to fill out the online form onsite. Once the screening and tracing is complete you will receive an email. Take a screen shot of your contact tracing so it easy to find if you are planning on coming into the building! If the email you receive has come back red, it means you have answered YES to one of the screen questions. In that case public health regulations mean you are NOT able to ski at our location that day. If the email you receive comes back green, we will see you on the trails shortly! As a back-up we will have a paper copy that can be filled out onsite.
