Today's Report

Its a different temperature than yesterday to start out our day! It will hover around zero all day. Chanse is out ginzue grooming to clean up the skate lane. It will be the same track as yesterday. It will be a little washed out in sections but is overall good. Teal’s Tango, Green, Blue, Yellow, Orange, Back Red and Quarry Loop are open. Teal’s Tango is a little thin and and doesnt have a track, but is groomed for skate. Back Red is open although will be a little thin in sections, especially on the last hill. Hawberry Loop and Quarry Loop are also a little thin. As the day goes on it will get a little snow covered. It will be a great day to be outside.

On the weekends tickets will be sold out of the ticket booth. Rentals will come through the second set of doors, all other building uses like ProShop and washrooms will come through the main doors (third set of doors).

A couple of things we should remember heading to the season.

– A BUFF IS NOT A MASK. You need to keep a clean and dry mask to wear within 50 metres of the facility. – please park in the lower parking lot. The upper lot is reserved for staff and groomers.

– Contact tracing needs to be completed each you come. Not the night before. This will only need to be shown in if come into the building.

Fat biking is open. Riding will be good. There will be a little drifting in some of the exposed areas. Use a very low PSI. Follow @highlandsfatbike on Instagram for daily updates on conditions.

Rental & Lesson Update: We are getting our online booking system up and running for lessons and rentals. There were a few more pieces that came up that we weren’t ready for! So for now we will be taking reservations over the phone. Once a reservation has been made, payment and filling out the rental form can be completed onsite. We will just take bookings up to Monday, January 10 for now in the hopes we will have the online system ready for beyond that time.

Please call 705-444-6959

Thanks in advance for your patience.Β  Β

We request you complete the online Contact Tracing and screening when coming onto the PROPERTY the day you are visiting. You should complete this before you come to ski or snowshoe or fat bike. You cannot do this the night before. This is a public health requirement. This screening will be checked ONLY whenΒ entering the building. Entry is through the pro shop doors. Note that cell service may not be good enough to fill out the online form onsite. Once the screening and tracing is complete you will receive an email. Take a screen shot of your contact tracing so it easy to find if you are planning on coming into the building! If the email you receive has come back red, it means you have answered YES to one of the screen questions. In that case public health regulations mean you are NOT able to ski at our location that day. If the email you receive comes back green, we will see you on the trails shortly! As a back-up we will have a paper copy that can be filled out onsite. Click here to contact trace.Β This must be completed every day you come skiing!

Our conditions texting update program is back!Β We update the conditions page every morning, but sometimes things change through the day. With this program updates will come directly to you as a text. No app download required. Your phone number will not be shared. These updates are not to replace checking the conditions page, but to update you on changes through the day.Β Send you cell phone number to ski@highlandsnordic.ca
