  August 28, 2026 Course is open and is in good shape. Day Camp is done for the season. There are a handful of events throughout the Fall. Keep an eye on the Upcoming Events so you know if there are any course limitations coming up. We have always been a little go with the flow with the dog on leash rules but we have had an incident with a dog and one of our animals. We will be strictly enforcing that dogs must be on leash while on our property. Even the best trained dogs can be unpredictable when exposed to something new (like farm animals). Mama sheep has been checked over by the vet and her wound is healing just fine. Thanks in advance for being proactive in this matter. UPCOMING EVENTS September 20 - Don't Get Lost Orienteering (Course is open but please give the riders, about 40, the right of way) September...

  The Highlands Nordic Disc Golf 18 Hole Course is open daily from 9AM to sundown. We are a privately owned family run facility. Payment can be done onsite by cash. Register your name & vehicle at the “Hut” by Hole One.

  Highlands Nordic is not open to the public for mountain biking. Although we do have a relationship with local travelling club CORC (Collingwood Off Road Cycling). All CORC members have access to our mountain bike trails!

It is hard to believe summer has come to an end. I

It is hard to believe summer has come to an end. It feels like we just had our first day of camp! We blinked and it was over.
We had such a great summer and that all comes down to our awesome team (and the campers too of course!). Without our counsellors we would be nothing.
Thanks for a fantastic summer season. We will see you next year! ☀️🌻💛

Snail was a long time Junior Counsellor and has been with us as a Lead Counsellor for 2 seasons. Snail is best known for his incredible music taste. He keeps the team well supplied in great music all summer long. We also wish him luck as he heads to McGill.

No one is more nutty for Squirrel than we are! From camper, to Junior Counsellor, to Lead Counsellor we have watch Squrriel grow up since he was knee high to a maple sapling.
Now in university with a focus on International Relations he is putting his diplomic learnings to use and negotiating with campers.

Raven is our mighty Head Counsellor who is putting her architect brain to work coming up with amazing crafts and activties this summer.
Crow is heading to university this Fall with the hopes of becoming a teacher in the future. What better practice than with a group of fun campers!

Slug is a long time counsellor at Highlands and is always the first to volunteer as the Spring Peeper lead counsellor. While she is a high school teacher in her regular life she loves working with the littles in the summer.

Safe to say that the first day of camp was a roaring success! ☀️🌼💛

Just some Wannabe Farmers having the time of our l

Just some Wannabe Farmers having the time of our lives. We love taking school groups on our Farm and Pond program. Everyone always learns something!

🐥 Chickens: all affectionately know as the Betty Poops. Chickens are omnivores and given the opportunity they will eat both plants and meat.

🐮 Cattle: we have 2 bulls, Stormy the Highlander and Frosty is an Angus. In the winter cattle will eat more as the act of chewing helps keep them warm.

🐐 Goat: Spice has been a fixture for years! Goats were one of the first animals to be domesticated. Humans thought they would be pretty useful! They were used to tow things, for milk and meat. If needed they could live on a sparse diet.

🐑 Sheep: Mama and her twins, Mary-Kate and Ashley, are loving being out on pasture and meeting new friends. It is necessary to sheer their wool once or twice a year because it just keeps growing. Sheering is a very
specialty skill and there aren’t many in Ontario who can do it.

🐽 Pigs: Tallulah and Roo are our favourite new additions. A pigs nose is called a snout and is the strongest muscle in their body.

Lost and Found Disc Season has begun! 🥏
We check our return bin once a week. All discs with a phone number will be called. If we don’t receive a phone call back in 30 days the disc will be donated. It’s ok if you can’t pick it up in those 30 days we just need some acknowledgement that the message is received and you will be coming back within the 2026 Season to collect 😉 Discs without any identification will be posted in the Player Led Facebook Group, Highlands Nordic Disc Golf.
