January 14
This is what January is all about! Great skiing and little bits of snow every day. Conditions are in great shape. Chanse has regroomed with the Husky.
We continue to have the track on the left side. Why you ask? We are trying to create a firm and even base. Chanse will do this a couple times a season since skate skiers do a great job of packing down the left side of the trail with their skate technique. By switching they will pack down the right side of the trail which will make for a firm track for our classic skiers!
Everything has been groomed just our same old wet spot on Woolner. Trails will be a bit snow-covered as it is currently snowing. Looks like we have some wind coming again today so you will likely find certain trails like Back Red and Teal’s Tango a bit drifted.
GET ACTIVE CLUB
Looking for some company on the trails or need help learning the trail system to navigate on your own? Whatever your reason you can meet us Mondayβs at 2PM for Get Active Ski Club and we can hit the trails together! Skate, classic, fast or slow we make it workEveryone is welcome to join us.
NIGHT SKIING
Wednesday and Fridayβs we will be open until 8. Since conditions can be variable we will make a call each Wednesday and Friday morning if we feel it is safe to go ahead with Night Skiing. Best practice will be to check before you come out to ensure there hasnβt been a change through the day. We havenβt been getting a lot of sunshine lately so bring your headlamp to ensure you have light coverage on your ski.
FACILITY HOURS
Regular Trail Hours are between 8:30 and 4:30. Please come off the trails by 4:30 so the building can close at 5. Staff will wait to ensure allΒ vehicles have left the property safely. Cafe is open Wednesday to Sunday; 10 to 3.
