January 11

What a fantastic day ahead of us! It is going to be a great day on snow. I think we will get some speed back in this snow as it starts to warm up. Everything is open. There are still the couple of wet spots on the Woolner Loop. Chanse has regroomed everything with the Husky.

It is an Easy Glide type of day! Bad news is we are waiting on our shipment of Easy Glide so we are out in the shop. So if you have some Easy glide share with a friend! We will also have some Easy Glide tune ups for a $1 on the Service Bench to ensure you have a glidey day.

Also did you check out the Beer and Ski Night below? We have a couple last minute spots! ⬇️⬇️⬇️

January 10

Chanse is grateful for the Husky and good base depth on mornings like this! It is a fresh start here in Duntroon but it is setting up to being an awesome day on snow. Conditions are excellent, although still just a few wet spots on Woolner Loop. They are easy to work around. Cool yes, but little to no wind. If you don’t have an amazing time on the trails today I’ll eat my hat.

Night skiing on tonight! Bring a headlamp as back up πŸ’‘

Today might be the day that there is no snow cover on the trails πŸ˜‹ It is lightly snowing but nothing major coming down. It will be the perfect winter day. A little light snow, hardly any wind and maybe; just maybe we will see the sun. Chanse has regroomed with the Husky and it is setting up nicely. Still just a few wet spots on Woolner Loop. They are easy to work around.

The snow just kept going yesterday! Another 25cm fell in the last 24hrs which is making for some excellent skiing. It will be a bit soft but other than that pretty good. Chanse has groomed everything with the Husky and managed to get the Woolner Loop open. Amazingly there are still 2 wet spots on that loop but they are easy to work around.

Night Skiing is on tonight! In case you didn’t notice there hasn’t been a lot of sunshine lately with all this snow coming down. We would highly recommend bringing a headlamp to ensure you will have light on your ski.

The Highlands bubble is at it again! Almost another 30cm of snow has come down and it is still going. Needless to say trails will be snow-covered today πŸ˜‹ How exciting is this to add to our base though! Try to get your ski in as early as you can to beat the snow. Classic is your technique of choice today. Chanse has regroomed with the Husky.

The snow is the gift that keeps on giving! Another large chunk of snow has fallen in the last 24hrs. Chanse is out regrooming in the Husky which is the preferred way to tackle a large amount of snow. Conditions will be excellent although a bit soft. It is currently snowing so you will find the trails snow-covered yet again, but who can complain about the arrival of all this beautiful snow! Looks like the morning is going to be a bit windy so parts of the Back Red and Teal’s Tango will be drifted.

We are in full Winter Wonderland mode up here. It snowed a good chunk of the day yesterday and is starting to snow again now. Chanse is out on the snowmobile and ginzue resetting the classic track and grooming the skate lanes, although at the rate the snow is falling the trails will be snow-covered!

On Back Red there are 1 wet spot just after the pines. Other than that conditions are in wonderfully snowy shape.

Green, Blue, Yellow, Orange with Millennium Loop and Back Red plus Teal’s Tango is open.

This snow still has quite a bit of moisture in it so it will be important glide waxed today and ensure you have your Easy Glide for waxless skis.
