March 27
Chanse has regroomed everything with the Husky on another great Spring skiing day. The best skiing is first thing when it’s firmer but it transitions to soft snow fast as it warms up! Although since it will be overcast it won’t get soft quite as quickly. There are few icy patches down by the building but they have been double tilled to chew them up. This will become more common as moisture comes up. There is one dirt patch on Hawberry that is easy to see and move around. Teal’s Tango is has two corners that are a little thin. Everything else is in great shape. Not too shabby for March 27!
For parking use the North lot by Teal’s Tango or the upper lot.
Please remember it is extremely important to not walk on any of the trails. The ski trail are meant for skiing and while on the snowshoe and fat bike trails you must use snowshoes. Even if conditions seem firm you may come across a softer wetter section and sink through. These potholes are very time consuming to repair and it is something that is easily avoidable! Thank you for your thoughtfulness in this matter.
The snowshoe trails are open.
The Fat Bike is open but will become too soft to ride by noon.
