December 8

We had a nice little extra deposit of snow yesterday which is only making things better and better. Chanse has regroomed everything with the ginzue and snowmobile. Still a bit a roll but it is certainly less noticeable now. Conditions are in great shape!

We are open for rentals but aren’t quite ready for public lessons yet but really soon I promise!

Green, Blue, Yellow, Orange with Millennium Loop and Teal’s Tango are open.

We are open for regular hours:

Monday to Sunday: 8:30 to 4:30.

$25 Trail Passes.

More of the same out there today. Just a dusting of snow so Chanse has cleaned up the skate with the snowmobile and ginzue. The track is still in good shape. There is a bit of that early season roll but overall conditions are in pretty good shape. No rock skis needed!

Just a dusting of snow to add to the base today. Chanse has groomed with the snowmobile and ginzue. Also 3 cheers for Chanse for getting a track in! We have a track around the whole network now. Still a little bit of that early season roll but it has really filled in nicely with that snow from the other day. Conditions are in pretty good shape for December 6! The Millennium Loop is now open. It is a bit softer than the rest of the network.

The world seemed like it was in a snow globe yesterday. The snow that was coming down was so beautiful! And it has now been the helping hand in getting the trail track set. Chanse has groomed with the snowmobile and ginzue. He has put in a track on the Blue and the Yellow to test it out today (the snow that came was very fluffy and not dense) and then will likely track set everything tomorrow. We are saying no rock skis needed! We still have the early season roll and conditions are soft but over the skiing is really good.

As Saturday we will be opening up for rentals and I will be working super hard to get details on lessons today. We aren’t quite ready for public lessons yet but really soon I promise!

Green, Blue, Yellow, Orange and Teal’s Tango are open.

This week we will stick with these hours:

A little bit of snow came last night and we are hoping for some more today. Chanse has groomed with the snowmobile and pan to catch these new flakes into the base. Every little bit helps! We are still suggesting rock skis although there is pretty good coverage. If you are keen to get out but you are holding off because you just had the one set of skis you will probably be just fine! Keep in mind we still have that early season roll and it is a bit soft. But all reports coming in is it is in pretty good shape for the first bit of skiing this year.

Green, Blue, Yellow, Orange and Teal’s Tango are open.

Rock skiing is typical early season skiing when we don’t quite have the base for full coverage on the trails. This is not a time for beginners or for people who aren’t as comfortable on their skis. Rock skiing is experienced skiers only and we suggest using a set of skis that you don’t mind getting scratches on. Rentals are not available during this time.Β

This week we will stick with these hours:

Monday to Sunday: 9 to 4:30. $20 Trail Passes.

I had made some promises about getting lesson details, event registrations up and running and Season’s Passes ready for December 1. Due to some rotating sickness in the household and work I got a little behind! But we are trying to get things up and going for later this week.

No big changes from yesterday. Chanse has gone out to regroom with the pan to flatten the trails out. It is pretty good out there for early season snow! There is certainly a bit of early season roll and it is soft but the coverage is actually pretty good. This is building a solid base πŸ’ͺ

There was a buzz of excitement as people came for a ski yesterday and the long term is looking good for this snow to hold! We just had a dusting of snow and Chanse has gone around with the snowmobile and the pan to freshen things up. We are still suggesting rock skis although the coverage is in pretty good shape. We still have that early season roll. There is no track but classic skiers are still more than welcome to come out.

Green, Blue, Yellow, Orange and Teal’s Tango are open.

We are back in action!

Chanse has been on the snowmobile this morning. He has rolled the trails and then used the pan to pack things down. It is rock skiing and of course we have that early season roll. Trail signs aren’t quite up yet but we should have them up tomorrow.

Green, Blue, Yellow, Orange and Teal’s Tango are open.

We are certainly getting closer! We received about 5cm last night and we are expecting snow throughout the day. Temperatures are staying cold and there are bits of snow here and there. Stay patient my friends!

Good news is Chanse is putting the final touches on the trails this week as we finally put the April Ice Storm behind us. If it wasnt for the last minute nothing would ever get done πŸ™ƒ
