The Husky is making its rounds and mixing in the fresh snow that has fallen into the granular base. Skiing will be great today. Chanse has filled in the sink hole at the bottom of S/Climb. So ski on without fear of loosing yourself! It is not icy as it got cold enough quickly that Chanse is able to break up all the snow with the machine. It is currently snowing so you will find trails a bit snow covered. We may see some drifting on the Back Red with the winds today. Enjoy the day outside for Winter Round 13!

Another Spring blip in our otherwise fantastic March skiing. She is WET out there. Chanse woke up at 4 to check things and promptly said nope and went back to sleep. Trails are open if you want to go for a ski but they have not been groomed. Wind and rain would have done a bit of damage. Namely on Teal’s Tango which is now closed and there is a sink hole at the bottom of S/Climb that you can ski around. It should be a quick turn around as we are back to well below zero tonight so Chanse will be able to use the Husky to till things up for tomorrow.

A real mixed bag of weather today. Chanse has groomed everything with the Husky and it is tilling up so nice. Conditions are excellent! The morning will be the best since as the day continues we will see some snow cover and drifting in the open areas. There is some freezing rain expected in the area this afternoon. So far on the radar it just indicates snow so we might see the freezing rain later in the afternoon. All that tells me is to get your bums out for a ski early squirrelly! And then have a nice chill afternoon.

Is this second or third winter? I have lost track. Regardless we are back to mid winter conditions in the middle of March. 30cm of snow has fallen and it is still snowing. Chanse has groomed everything with the Husky. You will find the trails a bit snow-covered and drifted in the open areas. Picking a trail in the trees will make a world of difference today.

Storms a comin’ Pa. Snow will be rolling through all day and night and it looks like back to winter like conditions for the weekend.

No Night Skiing tonight.

Trails are open! Chanse is grooming with the Husky this morning and it is tilling up nicely.

It will be important to stick to the areas that Chanse has clearly groomed. There are a few wets spots that may freeze as the day goes. The ones of note are as you leave the First Finger, at the end of the Flat 500 and at the bottom of Twin Peaks Hill. We are hoping that those spots will freeze up when by the time Chase’s freezes and he can go over them with the Husky. Everywhere else seems to be in good shape. The snow will be fast and granular today.

We will close the trails today simply because it will be absolutely no fun (nor safe) for anyone out there today. The rain started at 1:29AM. I know this exactly because there was one of the biggest thunder booms I have ever heard to single its start. I think the storm was sitting right on top of Duntroon! It is going to be a wet wet day. We will see if we make it through. 🀞

It got cold enough last night that Chanse has been able to take out the Husky. The trails are setting up nicely. We are seeing some water bleed up in the lower areas. Around the Chalet, up to Sugar Shack and the Recreational Downhill. It is not icy. Just water. The open areas are taking the hit with the warm and wind. When you enter the Stadium after coming down from Larry’s Glacier follow Chanse’s track set to the Recreational Downhill. As always in the spring it is best to come out in morning. The earlier the better. Rain is coming but it looks like it will appear closer to mid afternoon.

Everything expect Quarry Loop, Woolner Loop & Teal’s Tango are open. $33 Trail Passes today.

Use the North Parking Lot. Please use some caution in the parking lot. We have tried to break up the ice but it may be still icy.

Chanse is back in the saddle of the snowmobile. Everything has been groomed with the ginzue. Chanse’s trenches are still in place from yesterday. You can easily move around them/over them but be aware they are there. You will come across them up until the Sugar Shack.

Conditions remain pretty good! We are seeing some changes pretty quickly though. The Tuesday and Wednesday will be our next big hurtle. Better to come out first thing. It is soft already but it will only get softer! Make the most out of this awesome Spring Skiing.

Everything expect Quarry Loop and Woolner Loop are open. Teal’s Tango will start to get thin.

Use the North Parking Lot. Please use some caution in the parking lot. We have tried to break up the ice but it may be still icy.
