9AM Update:

Chanse has been able to put a track in the upper part of the network!

Some great snow fell in the last 24 hours! Chanse has been able to open up more trail. Teals Tango, Green, and most of the Orange is open. It is still rock skiing but it actually pretty great out there. It will still be a little soft in some sections.

The trails are Ginzue groomed, but no track just yet.

*Rock skiing is for experienced skiers only

A BUFF IS NOT A MASK. You need to keep a clean and dry mask to wear within 50 metres of the facility.

Contact Tracing and Active Screening must be done the for everyone coming onto the property the day they will be visiting.Β You cannot do this the night before.Β You can complete a form online. We request that you complete this before you show up. Note that cell service may not be good enough to do this onsite. Once the screening and tracing is complete you will receive an email that you will need to show at our health check station before you can head out to ski. Take a screen shot of your contact tracing so it is easy to find once you arrive! If the email you receive has comes back red, it mean you have answered YES to one of the screen questions. In that case you are NOT able to ski at our location that day. If the email you receive comes back green, we will see you on the trails shortly!Β We have a paper copy that can be done in person as a back up.

Click here to contact trace.Β This must be completed every day you come skiing!

Our conditions texting update program is back!Β We update the conditions page every morning, but sometimes things change through the day. With this program updates will come directly to you as a text. No app download required. Your phone number will not be shared. These updates are not to replace checking the conditions page, but to update you on changes through the day.Β Send you cell phone number to ski@highlandsnordic.ca

8AM update:

Rock skiing is open! There is a 4km open that includes Teal’s Tango, in front of the Chalet, up the Teaching Hill and around the Old Stadium. There is some grass poking through, with a few wet spots.

$10 trail passes

*Rock skiing is for experienced skiers only.Β

Chanse is out checking out to see if he can get some rock skiing open for you today. Although its unlikely he will be able to. The rain got trapped under the snow and didn’t really have a chance to freeze up. So once any machinery is on the snow it will just break through.

Stay tuned…a new update will be posted at 8.

December6

Its been a bizarre 24hrs. We were getting lots of snow and then it shifted to freezing rain, and then rain. There is still some snow on the ground but nothing Β we can do anything with just yet. They are predicting more snow to come! Start those snow dances πŸ•ΊπŸ’ƒπŸΌ

December 1

We will keep the trails closed today. We want to try and get through the next couple of days, and that means staying off the trails. Hopefully we get some snow to be able to open up for rock skiing again this weekend.

November 30

Ok, ok…we will stay open one more day πŸ˜‚ We did get some more snow yesterday but it is still rock skiing still some rain coming this week, but its looking like they are calling for less now! Fingers crossed its just snow instead of rain.

Rock skiing is when the conditions are marginal, and you shouldn’t use your good skis on the trails. The base is thin and there is grass peeking through on Teal’s Tango the most.

4km are open.

This terrain is open for experienced skiers only. Teal’s Tango, with the Teaching Hill and around the old Stadium is open.

You must have either a seasons pass or purchase a trail pass. Trail passes are $10.

November 30

Another day of rock skiing. We will be open today but will remain closed for the rest of the week. A couple days of questionable weather, and will give us time to finish getting ready for the season!
