What a lovely treat to receive all this new snow! Its the type of present I will be taking out of the box and playing with right awayπŸ˜‹

Trails are in excellent shape. Chanse very happily took out the big groomer out this morning for the first time this season. All trails are open except for the Woolner Loop. You will find conditions soft as we received so much snow so quickly, but that’s nothing to complain about.

Fat biking is closed today as they start to deal with all this fresh snow.

Remember we close at 230 today!

So far not the nicest of days out there. We have a little bit of rain coming down and some serious wind. Today is not a day for beginner skiers. Chanse has been able to put a new track in and it is decent up top. Although we are suggesting rock skis today as we are starting to see some thin and bare patches on the Sugar Shack, Green and down from the Glacier. There will also be some icy patches. Thankfully we do have some snow on the way! We expect conditions to be a lot better on the 26th. Green, Blue, Yellow, Orange, and Millennium Loop are open!

Fat biking is closed today.

Well we have had lots of questions about our plans for the lockdown. It has been A LOT of information to sort through and we have been working hard to come up with a solid plan.Β Moving into Grey… Ill be honest we still dont have all the answers yet but we are working closely with public health.Β

Heres what we do know: the trails will remain open!Β

– Cafe will remain open as take out.

– We have made the very challenging decision to not offer cross country ski rentals. Snowshoe rentals will be available.Β

– The buildings (including the wax hut) will be closed expect for bathroom use (limit of 10 people).Β

Stay tuned for more information as we learn it. Everything should be more clear by Thursday morning. As always we appreciate the support you have shown us & are looking forward to continuing to offer awesome trails this coming month.Β

Please read the policies and procedures before you come for a ski.Β Click here. Right now it is updated with the current RedΒ information and as we learn more we will update for Grey. You MUST wear a mask while in the building. Note that a wet buff coming in from skiing is not an effective mask. Please keep a clean and dry mask for when you return from your ski.

It will be a fast groomed granular start to the day, as it gets warmer it may start to soften up. Experienced skier will have a good time in the morning when it is fast, but beginners might find it a bit challenging. You may find the downhill from Larrys Glacier get a little icy as people snowplow through the day. Skate skiing is awesome out there! The classic skiing is also good, but it is another klister dayΒ πŸ‘ Green, Blue, Yellow, Orange, Millennium Loop and Teal’s Tango are open! You still won’t need to use your rock skis, there is good coverage through the network with the exception of the Sugar Shack where it is a little thin with a little bit of ice. Although you can step around that section pretty easily.

Fat biking is open! Conditions will be excellent today.

Conditions today will be a fast groomed granular to start and will slow down as it warms up. Chanse groomed last night to let everything set up nicely. There is a fresh track as well! You still won’t need to use your rock skis, there is good coverage through the network with the exception of the Sugar Shack where it is bleeding through a little bit. We have had some fresh snow which is great to add to the base, although Chanse is finding it quite sticky out there. Seems like it won’t be a fast ski day, but the trails are in great shape. A slow day on the trails is better than a good day at work πŸ˜‹. You will want to make sure you have glide waxed your ski or have used liquid glide. It will help push the moisture away so your skis dont clump up and will help them glide. Green, Blue, Yellow, Orange, Millennium Loop and Teal’s Tango are open! You still won’t need to use your rock skis, there is good coverage through the network. We are expecting a busy holiday break. Be patient and kind to everyone!
