Chanse groomed last night with the snowmobile. He just freshened up the skate lane, the track is still in good shape. It will be fast and firm this morning, and will soften up around 1. Conditions are still very good. The track is quite firm and may be icy in spots. There is one small spot on the Green that is bare. The rest has full coverage! Teals Tango, Quarry and Woolner Loop are now closed.

Please respect our closing time. Open daily from 8:30 to 4:30. OpenΒ until 8 on Wednesday and Fridays for Night Skiing.Β

Fat biking is open. The overall riding will be good. There are a couple thin spots. The trickiest part is the start where it gets soften by the sun quickly. By the afternoon it will get soft. Very low tire pressure (8PSI or less) will be key and youΒ can’t have tires less than 3.8 inches.

Contact Tracing and Active Screening must be done the for everyone coming onto the property the day they will be visiting.Β You cannot do this the night before.Β You can complete a form online. We request that you complete this before you show up. Note that cell service may not be good enough to do this onsite. Once the screening and tracing is complete you will receive an email that you will need to show at our health check station before you can head out to ski. Take a screen shot of your contact tracing so it is easy to find once you arrive! If the email you receive has comes back red, it mean you have answered YES to one of the screen questions. In that case you are NOT able to ski at our location that day. If the email you receive comes back green, we will see you on the trails shortly!Β We have a paper copy that can be done in person as a back up.

Click here to contact trace.Β This must be completed every day you come skiing!

Our conditions texting update program is back!Β We update the conditions page every morning, but sometimes things change through the day. With this program updates will come directly to you as a text. No app download required. Your phone number will not be shared. These updates are not to replace checking the conditions page, but to update you on changes through the day.Β Send you cell phone number to ski@highlandsnordic.ca

Chanse is out grooming away. This snow is slow to work with, and willΒ that him some time to work through. Early birds need to keep an eye out for the groomer. Dont ski on sections that arent groomed. The snow has turned to a sugar snow. It seemed to stay that way all day yesterday. It will be similar conditions. Firm underneath with sugar on top. Although you can still get an edge in. Teals Tango, Quarry and Woolner Loop are now closed.

Conditions continue to be excellent. It will be fast through most of the day, although you can still get an edge. It is suppose to stay below zero all day but the March sun may soften things up as we go. Everything is openΒ expect for the Woolner Loop. Teal’s Tango and Quarry will be a little thin in spots. It will likely be the last weekend for those loops. Parking might get a little tricky in the afternoon. Please be patient and listen to the direction for parking. It will be another slow morning for Chanse, so the early birds need to keep an eye out for the groomer. Dont ski on sections that arent groomed.

There is a little open spot on the snowshoe trail just after the Sugar Shack, once you are beyond that point there is good coverage.

However it is slowΒ going out there so THE TRAILS WONT BE OPEN UNTIL 9:30 TODAY. It will be fast and firm first thing, but with a good edge. It will slow down and soften up as it gets warmer. Skiing is going to be excellent today. We are starting to lose some of the common open loops, but wont know more until Chanse reaches them. If something is ungroomed. Do not ski it. Night skiing will be a go tonight, just remember it will fast this evening!Β Please respect our closing time. Open daily from 8:30 to 4:30. OpenΒ until 8 on Wednesday and Fridays for Night Skiing.Β

We have moved back into Red although we have decided to keep our policies the same as the last round of Grey. So no change to report there! We canΒ continue to offer aΒ limited number of shoppers in the building and have the washrooms open. Thanks for the support! Please please have a proper mask, not just a buff when visiting the property.

Its days like today where it becomes a little tricky to groom. WeΒ didn’t see theΒ temperature drop we have been seeing, but Chanse has gone out to regroom the skate lane.Β Where itΒ hasn’t been groomed there will be a crust on top. The warm last night meant we lost some base but there is still lots of snow out there! The ground frost is working our favour. People skiing last night wereΒ surprised how good it was! It will be soft right from the start of the day since itΒ didn’t get cold. Looks like we might be seeing some rain around 2.Β Please respect our closing time. Open daily from 8:30 to 4:30. OpenΒ until 8 on Wednesday and Fridays for Night Skiing.Β

Fat biking is closed. Once theΒ temperatures drop again we can open back up. Very low tire pressure (8PSI or less) will be key and youΒ can’t have tires less than 3.8 inches.
