Our phone and internet is down in this area. Please bring cash!

Trail conditions are excellent right now! Chanse is out in the Husky regrooming everything just for you 😉 It is on the colder side today to put on those layers. Learn what works best you for your clothing layers on the colder days. You don’t want to miss out on these awesome ski days. Please coming in and ask some advice if you need help! There is some wind in the forecast today, but in the trees will be much better. They may be some drifting on the Back Red.
Please be mindful when parking on the weekends. Parking snuggly up to the car beside you so all our friends have room to park!

Fat biking is open. Same report as yesterday. A low PSI will be key today. Climbing will be a little tough today but up top will be pretty good riding. There is a small section at the Top of the Mountain and Golf Course Loop that will be soft and deep. Snowshoeing welcome! Follow @highlandsfatbike on Instagram for daily updates on conditions.

Rental & Lesson Update: We are still working on our online system so we will continue to take bookings by phone for rentals and lessons. Once a reservation has been made, payment and filling out the rental form can be completed onsite. Please call 705-444-6959. Thanks in advance for your patience.

We request you complete the online Contact Tracing and screening when coming onto the PROPERTY the day you are visiting. You should complete this before you come to ski or snowshoe or fat bike. You cannot do this the night before. This is a public health requirement. This screening will be checked ONLY when entering the building. Entry is through the pro shop doors. Note that cell service may not be good enough to fill out the online form onsite. Once the screening and tracing is complete you will receive an email. Take a screen shot of your contact tracing so it easy to find if you are planning on coming into the building! If the email you receive has come back red, it means you have answered YES to one of the screen questions. In that case public health regulations mean you are NOT able to ski at our location that day. If the email you receive comes back green, we will see you on the trails shortly! As a back-up we will have a paper copy that can be filled out onsite. Click here to contact trace. This must be completed every day you come skiing!
Our conditions texting update program is back! We update the conditions page every morning, but sometimes things change through the day. With this program updates will come directly to you as a text. No app download required. Your phone number will not be shared. These updates are not to replace checking the conditions page, but to update you on changes through the day. Send you cell phone number to ski@highlandsnordic.ca

Oh boy we are in for a beautiful day! Chanse has regroomed everything with the Husky and it’s looking perfect out there. Yes it’s a bit on the cooler side but don’t let that scare you, trust me you won’t have any regrets getting out today. The sun will be shining and there will be little to no wind. Night skiing will be great as well. Get those layers on and get out for a ski!

Everything is open and looking great! Another deposit of fresh snow for us. Chanse is out in the Husky regrooming everything. It is still snowing so you will find things snow covered and a little soft. Pretty low wind today so even with a colder day and it will be nice once you are moving!

Fat biking is closed. A gift for the skiers is a challenge for the bikers! We will need some time again to catch up with this new snow. Snowshoeing welcome! Follow @highlandsfatbike on Instagram for daily updates on conditions.

We have an amazing day of skiing ahead of  us! Conditions may be a little soft because of the fresh snow but overall excellent. AND we have the Woolner Loop open! There maybe be a few wet and thin spots on that loop. Night skiing is on for tonight. The temperature is really going to drop for night skiing (around -5 to -8) so conditions will be quite quick tonight. Chanse is out in the Husky grooming everything.

Fat biking is closed. Everything was groomed yesterday afternoon when the snow stopped to allow it to firm up. Snowshoeing welcome! Follow @highlandsfatbike on Instagram for daily updates on conditions.

We didn’t get blasted with snow like some parts of Ontario but we did receive a good amount of snow. We are in a strange bubble right now where there was no snow in the forecast but it is snowing heavily. Chanse is out in the Husky, although things will be snow covered. Come out and enjoy our winter wonderland! Teal’s Tango, Green, Blue, Yellow, Orange, Back Red, Millennium Loop and Quarry Loop are open.

Fat biking is closed We will hold off on grooming until the snow stops. Snowshoeing welcome! Follow @highlandsfatbike on Instagram for daily updates on conditions.

We have a snowy day ahead of us! Not a great start for the kids getting back to school 😆 I vote for recess at Highlands. Chanse is out ginzue grooming but you will find the trails snow covered today. This fresh snow will do great things for our base. The usually spots like Back Red, Hawberrry Loop and Teal’s Tango will likely get drifted as the wind picks up. Choosing trails in the trees will be key today. Teal’s Tango, Green, Blue, Yellow, Orange, Back Red, Millennium Loop and Quarry Loop are open. Teal’s Tango, Back Red and Hawberry Loop may be little thin in sections.

Fat biking is open, but best to get out first thing this morning if you are planning on riding. As the snow accumulates the conditions will get worse. We will hold off on grooming until the snow stops. Snowshoeing welcome! Follow @highlandsfatbike on Instagram for daily updates on conditions.

It’s going to be another great day on the trails. It’s starting off a bit cooler but will warm up to -7 by 1pm. Trails are in good shape! Chanse has ginzue groomed to clean up the skate lane. The track is still good from yesterday. Teal’s Tango, Green, Blue, Yellow, Orange, Back Red, Millennium Loop and Quarry Loop are open. Teal’s Tango, Back Red and Hawberry Loop may be little thin in sections.

On the weekend tickets will be sold out of the ticket hut. Rentals will come through the second set of doors, all other building uses like ProShop and washrooms will come through the main doors (third set of doors).

Fat biking is open and is still riding really well. There will be a small selection that around the Quarry that is poor riding. But overall riding is in great shape. Follow @highlandsfatbike on Instagram for daily updates on conditions.

A couple of things we should remember heading to the season.

– A BUFF IS NOT A MASK. You need to keep a clean and dry mask to wear within 50 metres of the facility.

– please park in the lower parking lot. The upper lot is reserved for staff and groomers.

– Contact tracing needs to be completed each you come. Not the night before. This will only need to be shown in if come into the building.

Another frosty morning but again very little wind. You may choose a shorter loop than normal, but the skiing will be very good today. Classic will especially good. Remember that cold snow is slow snow so it won’t be very fast. Chanse has ginzue groomed everything today. There should be no complaints about it being cold to the guy who sits on the snowmobile for 4 hours😉  Teal’s Tango, Green, Blue, Yellow, Orange, Back Red, Millennium Loop and Quarry Loop are open. Teal’s Tango, Back Red and Hawberry Loop may be little thin in sections.

Starting our day at -11 and this will be the warmest part of our day 🤦‍♀️ I will admit that it is cold, BUT when skiing in the trees with protection from the in the woods it’s not too bad with the proper layers! Some of my best skis have been at -20, so don’t snooze on the ski today. Get out and enjoy a quick loop. Trails are skiing great. It is the same track from yesterday. Chanse has gone around the clean up the skate lane. Teal’s Tango, Green, Blue, Yellow, Orange, Back Red, Millennium Loop and Quarry Loop are open. Teal’s Tango, Back Red and Hawberry Loop may be little thin in sections.

Chanse is taking a ride in the Husky today to clean everything up. We have a fresh track and skate lane. Skiing will be great today! The snow has been fast with lots of control.
