Another awesome day on the trails. Chanse has cleaned up the skate lane with the ginzue. The track is still solid from yesterday. It is going to be such a perfect skate day. You are going to feel so fast! There is possible rain coming today but not until 4pm, so we should miss it for opening hours. Its then suppose to transition to snow by 9m.

Fat biking is open. The trails are riding really well! It may get soft as the day get warmer. Follow @highlandsfatbike on Instagram for daily updates on conditions.

Rental & Lesson Update: We are still working on our online system so we will continue to take bookings by phone for rentals and lessons. Once a reservation has been made, payment and filling out the rental form can be completed onsite. Please call 705-444-6959. Thanks in advance for your patience.

We request you complete the online Contact Tracing and screening when coming onto the PROPERTY the day you are visiting. You should complete this before you come to ski or snowshoe or fat bike. You cannot do this the night before. This is a public health requirement. This screening will be checked ONLY when entering the building. Entry is through the pro shop doors. Note that cell service may not be good enough to fill out the online form onsite. Once the screening and tracing is complete you will receive an email. Take a screen shot of your contact tracing so it easy to find if you are planning on coming into the building! If the email you receive has come back red, it means you have answered YES to one of the screen questions. In that case public health regulations mean you are NOT able to ski at our location that day. If the email you receive comes back green, we will see you on the trails shortly! As a back-up we will have a paper copy that can be filled out onsite. Click here to contact trace. This must be completed every day you come skiing!

How are we at the end of January already?! What a great month of skiing. Let hope for another 2 months of this snow. Conditions are excellent. Finally a good skate day! Classic skiing will also be good. Chanse has regroomed with the Husky. As the kids say; trails will be mint today 😎

Fat biking is open. The trails are riding really well! Light snow on top of a firm base. Follow @highlandsfatbike on Instagram for daily updates on conditions.

Another fantastic day for the ski trails. Everything has been regroomed with the Husky. There has been a small dusting of snow overnight. We may get a little bit of snow during the day. The trails in the trees will be especially good, adding a little bit of protection from the light wind today.

Fat biking is open. The trails are still riding really well! Follow @highlandsfatbike on Instagram for daily updates on conditions.

The sun will be out today! It is going to be such an amazing day on the trails. In case you haven’t noticed waiting for it to be warmer to get out for a ski may result in you not getting out very much this season! It also means you are missing out on some great skiing. There is little to no wind reported for today. With the combination of the sun it will be so nice out. Chanse has regroomed everything with the Husky just for you 😉

Fat biking is open. It was nice and firm under the fresh snow from yesterday. Everything is regroomed. The trails are riding really well with the exception of a couple drifted areas. Follow @highlandsfatbike on Instagram for daily updates on conditions.

Another case of a surprise snowfall, with 15cm of new snow! Conditions will be soft with the new snow. You will be tired of me saying it’s better for classic skiing 😂 Chanse is grooming everything with the Husky this morning. It is still snowing lightly, so the trails may be snow covered. Very little wind predicted today. Come enjoy our winter wonderland!

Fat biking is closed. The team needs to dig out…again! The snow is fluffy so it may not take long. Follow @highlandsfatbike on Instagram for daily updates on conditions.

Conditions continue to be excellent! Chanse has regroomed everything with the Husky. Looks like it’s a bit windy today so we suggest trails that are in the trees as the open areas will get a bit drifted.

Fat biking is open, and is still riding really well! Keep that PSI low. There will be some drifting up top. Follow @highlandsfatbike on Instagram for daily updates on conditions.

Today marks another year gone after the loss of Larry. He started this business not because he was a particularly good business person but because he loved cross country skiing and he loved to share this sport with others. Especially training athletes. With so many changes the last couple of years it’s bizarre to realize that there are many people who visit us that never knew Larry. Regardless if you knew him or not, take time to get out for a ski (anywhere!) and think of the person who introduced you to this amazing sport. Silently thank them and then thank Larry for having the passion to build the trails, buildings and establish the spirit that influences the homey feeling we have at Highlands 💙

Conditions are excellent today. Chanse has taken the Husky out to deal with any drift from yesterday. It’s a snow day today apparently, although I am not sure why. So my suggestion is to bring the kids out for recess today 😉

Fat biking is closed. The snowshoeing really helped this weekend,  but things are still soft. We will need to time to let it firm up. Follow @highlandsfatbike on Instagram for daily updates on conditions.

More snow! After yesterday’s report it started snowing heavily and boom just like that we had another 15cm of snow! Chanse is regrooming with the Husky. It is lightly snowing right now. Conditions will be excellent even if they are a little soft. A little bit more snow coming this afternoon so there may be a little bit of snow cover on the trails.

Fat biking is closed. Groomers are still working on digging out after the surprise 15cm yesterday. Snowshoeing welcome! Follow @highlandsfatbike on Instagram for daily updates on conditions.

Another shipment of snow arrived ☺️ Skiing will be excellent today. It is lightly snowing now so the trails maybe a little snow covered.  A perfect classic ski day, with these softer conditions. Chanse is cruising in style with the Husky this morning to regroom everything. Very little wind predicted for today. Get your butt out for ski!

Our internet and phone lines are still down. Please bring cash for today’s transactions if you can.

Please be mindful when parking on the weekends. Parking snuggly up to the car beside you so all our friends have room to park!

Fat biking is closed. Same report as yesterday. Too much snow to ride today! The groomers will pack things down again when it stops snowing. Snowshoeing welcome! Follow @highlandsfatbike on Instagram for daily updates on conditions.
