UPDATE: Wednesday 3:30pm:  We will need to remain closed until noon tomorrow, in order to do some repair work to our trail system.  The temperatures do start dropping this evening, and should get below 0C in the wee hours tomorrow. A complete assessment of the effect of today’s wind and warmth won’t be possible until tomorrow.  Please bear with us as we try to get the trails back into good shape.

We will be open until noon today, then closed.  There will be no Wednesday night skiing.

Skiing won’t be great today.  Trails are soft and wet.  The temperatures never got below zero last night, so we are not going to put any grooming equipment out today because it would only make things worse.   You will find a few thin spots out there, and dirty patches, but I wouldn’t call it rock skiing yet.  Coverage over most of the network is still solid, and the thin spots are obvious and easy to step around.  Teal’s Tango and the Woolner loop are closed.

Our snowshoe trail is open today, but will be soft.  We are closed for fat biking until things harden up again.

We are gradually losing snow, but if we can make it through this warm spell, the forecast does improve, with some snow and colder temperatures predicted for the coming week.

Conditions this morning will again be firm and fast, but then will become softer by around 10am.  Chanse has taken the big machine out again, so you will find a new track and skate lane, except on Teal’s Tango where it is too thin.  Our base is getting thin in the usual places, Woolner and Hawberry loops, and there are a few other spots on the network that you can easily step around.

Please park in the upper lot today. Space will be tight, but it will be firm.

We are hosting a small high school race today.  They will be using the Rainbow trail to the bottom of the S Climb, and then will return to the chalet via the Green.

Looking at tomorrow’s forecast, we will likely need to close at noon, and will not be open for Wednesday night skiing.  Get your kilometres in while the snow lasts!

Fat biking and snowshoe trails are all open, and are in excellent condition right now!  The fat biking will become quite soft by this afternoon as the weather warms, so morning will definitely be better.

Today will be almost a carbon copy of yesterday’s conditions, except that it is not forecast to get as warm, so it should stay really good for a bit longer.  Chanse has taken the Husky out, so you will find freshly renovated skate and classic tracks.  Without any new snow, things are becoming thinner, particularly on the Woolner loop, and Hawberry loop, which receive the most sun.  There is a thin patch at the top of the quarry loop on the right side, but it is good  on the left where snow has been shovelled on to build up the base.  Conditions will be quick first thing, but then getting a bit softer as the day progresses.

Fat biking and snowshoe trails are all open, and are in excellent condition right now!

Our trails are in great shape again this morning, with everything groomed except the South 10 on the Woolner loop.  Conditions will be firm and fast this morning, but will soften and slow as the sun and warm temperatures do their thing.  Yesterday hard wax worked well in the morning, and then klister once the tracks became glazed in the afternoon.  We can expect a similar pattern today, but with that transition happening closer to 10am.  Skin skis really shine in these conditions.  Come learn about them, and check out the selection, in our pro shop.

Our snowshoeing and fat biking trails are in super shape also.  Come out and enjoy being outdoors today.  Call ahead to book a fat bike rental.

Well, we didn’t do too badly after the past two warm days.  Things have firmed up overnight, allowing Chanse to get out with the big groomer and till everything, and set a new classic track.  We will have a mix of machine groomed granular, and machine groomed powder, that will make for excellent skiing today!  There are one or two, small, icy spots near the chalet, but once you get onto the network the trails are in great shape.

Our snowshoeing and fat biking trails are all in excellent shape as well.  You will find them firm underneath, but with a softer layer on top.  Come out and enjoy the day.  Bike and snowshoe rentals are available.  Call ahead to make sure we have one for you.

Our Valentine’s “Feel the Love” sale starts today with 14% off your total purchase.*

Our trails did not do too badly with yesterday’s rain and warmth, but we are concerned about the forecast for tomorrow.

Chanse has re-groomed the skate lane with the ginzu, and it has come up quite nicely.  The classic track will be a bit icy early this morning until temperatures warm up.

Conditions will be generally quite fast first thing, and we are recommending that only experienced skiers come prior to 10AM.  Some Strava crowns may be available!

Our snowshoe trail will be open today, but fat biking will only be open until noon before conditions become soft.

We will be open for night skiing today.  The trails should be starting to firm up again by this evening, so it could be great skiing.

We will be CLOSED TOMORROW to try to preserve as much of our snow as we can given the forecast.  Hopefully the temperature will drop more quickly tomorrow, and we will get some new snow at the tail end of the system.  Fingers crossed!

Chance has taken the snowmobile and ginzu out today to re-groom the skate lane.  The classic track is in good shape from yesterday, so we’ll leave it alone.

All of the ski trails are open today, but you can expect some drifting on the Woolner loop given today’s forecast wind.

Our snowshoe trails are fully open.

Our fat bike trails will be open this morning, but will close at noon in order to protect them with the warm temps.  Come and ride early.

Chanse has used the big machine today, and the trails are in perfect condition right now!  After two days of wildly different temperatures, today’s weather looks ideal.  Bring your sunglasses and sunscreen.

We do have a bit of a weather rollercoaster ahead of us this week, but with nighttime temperatures staying below zero, conditions should remain good.

Our snowshoeing and fat biking trails are also in great shape.  We have rentals available if you don’t have your own equipment.  Call ahead to reserve.
