December 24th – 8:30AM to 2:30PM

December 25th – CLOSED

December 26th – 8:30AM to 4:30PM (regular hours)

December 31st – 8:30AM to 2:30PM

January 1st – 8:30AM to 4:30PM (regular hours)

We have had some fresh snow which is great to add to the base, although Chanse is finding it quite sticky out there. Seems like it won’t be a fast ski day, but the trails are in great shape. A slow day on the trails is better than a good day at work 😋. You will want to make sure you have glide waxed your ski or have used liquid glide. It will help push the moisture away so your skis dont clump up and will help them glide. Green, Blue, Yellow, Orange, Millennium Loop and Teal’s Tango are open! You still won’t need to use your rock skis, there is good coverage through the network. We are expecting a busy holiday break. Be patient and kind to everyone!

Fat biking is now open! You will find it a little sticky out there today, but otherwise in good shape. There may be a little drifting in the back of Quarry.

Chanse has been out again to clean up the skate lane and the track is still in good shape. Trails continue to look good out there! Green, Blue, Yellow, Orange, and Millennium Loop are open! You still won’t need to use your rock skis, there is good coverage through the network. Chanse has groomed Teals Tango, and it is a bit thin in spots so it will only be open for skate skiing. 

Fat biking is now open! The wet areas are starting to firm up and there is a little dusting of snow on top. Riding will be good today!

Rentals and lessons will officially start on December 19th! We are putting the final touches on the online booking system. But will have that up and running soon.

Another nice day out on the trails. Chanse has cleaned up the skate lane and the track is still in good shape. A little dusting of snow out there is just like the icing on top! A little bit of fresh snow really helps freshen the trails up! We had some great helpers shovelling around the Sugar Shack yesterday so we no longer need to use the bypass. Thanks Hayden, Malcolm and Monica 💪 You are the best! There are a few icy spots down below, but once you get up top the skiing is decent. Chanse is working on getting a new track in. Its taking a bit of work to scrub the old one out. The new track will be shallow in spots, especially in the lower area. Blue, Yellow, Orange, and Millennium Loop are open! You still won’t need to use your rock skis, there is good coverage through the network. Chanse has groomed Teals Tango, and it is a bit thin in spots so it will only be open for skate skiing.

8:30AM Update!

Now that Chanse is done grooming we have an update. Please hold off on skiing until 10am. We did lose the Green Trail as well as around the Sugar Shack, and he didn’t groom Teals Tango. Again we are suggesting no beginners today. Today there is a bypass of the Sugar Shack and continuing to the S-Climb. Once you get up top the skiing isn’t too bad. Conditions will be soft today.

Well folks that we was a seriously unpleasant day weather-wise. There were still some keeners out there skiing which was great to see. If you can believe it the trails made it through the night! There was a lot of rain and got up to 9 degrees🤦🏻‍♀️. The temperature didn’t start dropping until 1AM so the trails need some time to tighten up. We are suggesting people hold their skiing off until 10AM, to let the trails firm up a little. Although it will likely still be soft and slushy in spots. It seems like we actually didn’t lose too much snow up top. There is a thin spot at the Sugar Shack and Hawberry. But you should be able to step around it to still use your good skis. Skate skiing will probably be better today. This is not a day of beginners. PLEASE DO NOT walk on the ski trails. Even with snowshoes you can leave a lot of damage. Please only snowshoe on the snowshoe trails. You know what they say happy groomer, happy life. We need to keep Chanse happy, and holes in his skis trails do not make him happy. Blue, Yellow, Orange, and Millennium Loop are open! You still won’t need to use your rock skis, there is good coverage through the network.

Since weather is questionable this weekend we are going to hold off on lessons and rentals this weekend. Please be patient with us! We are moving into Red on Monday so we do need to figure out some logistics to make sure everything can run smoothly and safely. 

Remember to please respect opening hours. The trails open at 8:30 in the morning, we ask people to start coming off the trails at 4:30 so we are close up the building at 5. We plan to start the night skiing in the New Year.

Prepare yourself for a seriously weird day. It would be nice if the temperature and winds stayed in our favour but I am not sure if we will have much luck. They are calling for freezing rain most of morning. No great for driving or scraping cars but it is better for the trails since freezing rain will accumulate. Then we switch to rain around noon 😕. Saying all that Chanse says “things arent too bad out there”. The trails are holding up! He didn’t put a new track in as it would get too mushy but the track from Thursday is holding on. Trails will be soft, but skiers were coming back happy yesterday. Maybe we are getting the Spring skiing now we missed in March 🤔. PLEASE DO NOT walk on the ski trails. At the start of the day it will be a fast groomed granular. It got below zero last night and firmed things up. As the day warms up it will get soft. It is the same track as yesterday and we will be sticking with some good olde klister skiing today. We think the downhills will be fine and won’t get icy as people snowplow.
