I took one for the team forced myself to do a trail inspection yesterdayΒ πΒ Here is what I learned! Heading up the Sugar Shack Hill and out Rainbow Out is on the thin side. Once you get to the S-Climb it is in pretty good shape. There is definitely that early season roll since there isn’t enough snow to smooth it out. You will find some thin spots on the Hawberry Loop as well.
I would say use some caution coming down to Larry’s Glacier and back to the chalet. But there is still enough there to get an edge to be able to snowplow down.
All in all not perfect conditions but I know for myself it was just great to get outside and be on skis.
Chanse has gone around to do a tidy up with the snowmobile and pan.
Blue, Yellow, and Orange are open.
Early season snow is not for beginners and we are suggesting rock skis. There are thin spots throughout the network and we have our early season roll on the trails that will stick around until there is more snow to be able to push around to make the trails flatter.
THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO WALKING ON THE TRAILS. Walking on the trails can do lasting damage. If we want to go for a walk visit the front desk and we can give you directions to several Bruce Trail starting points.
Lessons and rentals will not be available until snow conditions have improved.Β
