Well we’ve had 8cm of fresh snow overnight, and it is continuing to come down!Β  Chanse was able to take the Prinoth Husky out so that will really help to pack down the base.

Our entire network should be open today, and track set, including the Woolner loop.

The best skiing will be earlier in the day, because the trails will become more snow covered as the day goes on.

Our fat biking will be closed today as it is too soft to ride, but snowshoeing will be fantastic.Β  Come on out and enjoy this fresh snow, and pack it down at the same time.

It looks like a great day to get out onto the trails today!Β  We may even have a visit from Mr. Sun this morning!

Our ski trails are all open and track set, with the exception of the Woolner Loop which needs a lot of cold to freeze things up before we can get machinery on it. Things are still a bit soft, making classic a nice choice for today.Β  There is a little drifting on the Back Red, Hawberry and Teal’s Tango, that may continue throughout the day

Snowshoeing and fat biking trails are open, but a little soft in some spots, and drifted in others.Β  Bikers, lower your tire pressure accordingly.

There was a little bit of additional snow last night, but we are still grooming with the snowmobiles, so the skate lane is still a bit soft after yesterdays snow.Β  The classic track is in really good shape throughout the network, so that will be your best skiing today.

Teal’s Tango, our dog friendly loop, is open again.Β  Bring your pooch for a run, but please be sure to keep your dog on a leash.

With all of this fresh snow, the snowshoeing is fantastic!!Β  Bring your own snowshoes, or rent from our proshop.Β  We are closed for fat biking today until we get the trail packed down a bit more.Β  Fat biking conditions will be really good by the weekend!

We are open tonight for night skiing.Β  If you haven’t experienced skiing under the lights yet this season, make tonight your night.Β  Bring a headlamp.

The snow we have been waiting for finally came!Β  Conditions will be soft today, but we have been able to open everything except the Woolner Loop.Β  It will take multiple passes with the machines this morning to pack , groom, and then set a classic track, so if you come early keep an eye out for our groomers.

We have had a bit more snow over the past 24 hours, so conditions are improving.Β  Today we’ll call it, “early season conditions”, so we still would not recommend your best pair of skis. We are hopeful that with the system bringing snow today we will be able to change that.

The trails that are currently open are the Green, Blue, Yellow, Orange, and Millenium loops.Β  Hawberry has thin spots, but the inner core is skiing quite nicely.

It seems impossible to think we lost Larry 8 years ago. This year it feels like there is so much to reflect on, with so many ups and downs between building improvements, challenges with weather and ski product delivery. All of which would have driven him nuts. The fact that we spent so much money on a paint job especially would have just thrown him for the biggest loop. But when he saw how good it looked in the end I can just hear him say β€œHuh, I guess that does look pretty good” and would have said it was a good call.

Of course the biggest up of all is the birth of his granddaughter, which he would have been so excited for. As someone who grew up in a small family run business I feel excited for Bay to do the same. I learned so much, but also have so many fun memories. Early morning rides in the groomer when Mom had to be at work, exploring the property jumping into big snowbanks, I also may have ended up in the creek a few times tobogganing where I shouldn’t have.

Whether you knew Larry or not take the time to be outside today and think about this wonderful community he built.

We will be open for night skiing this evening.

Our snowshoe trail is also open.

Trail tickets are $15

Fat biking conditions are currently really good.Β  12 km of bike trail is open. We do have Louis Garneau bikes available to rent, so come out and give that a try.Β  Call ahead to guarantee a bike will be available for you.

Well we have received just enough snow over the past couple of days to open for rock skiing.

The trails that are currently open are the Green, Blue, Yellow, Orange, and Millenium loops.Β  There are definitely some thin spots, with the Hawberry loop being the thinnest, while the inner core is the best because it retained more snow from what we had previously.

Our snowshoe trail is also open.

We had another little bit of very fluffy snow yesterday, but didn’t get enough to re-open trails, yet.Β  At this time our ski trails remain closed.Β  The forecast is looking promising for this week, so let’s keep our fingers crossed that we get the snow that is forecast!

Fat biking conditions are good, with very favourable reports coming in from those who rode this past weekend.Β  We do have bikes available to rent, so come out and give that a try.Β  Call ahead to guarantee a bike will be available for you.

We are still waiting on Mother Nature to provide enough new snow to allow us to reopen the ski trails, so please, any ‘influencers’ out there, work your magic!

While we have had a little bit of snow over the past 36 hours, and slightly colder temperatures, we are still not in a position to reopen our ski trails.Β  Fatbiking trails are open and, despite the lack of much snow, are firm and fun to ride right now.
