Let’s plant a tree!

Teal’s Tango opened in the 2019/2020 Season, and has since become one of
our most popluar trails.
Highland’s favourite fur baby, Teal, has always loved getting out to ski and
we wanted to create an opportunity for other dogs and their owners
to have the same experience.
A dog friendly ski trail is not something you see very often in Ontario
– but we had the space and the vision so we gave it a try!
Teal’s Tango has since become a hot spot, not just for dog owners and their pups.
Families, beginners, people practicing, warming up or cooling down
have all spent time on the trail. It has truly become a trail for everyone.
To complete the vision we need trees! We hope to plant 10,000 trees to protect
the trail from wind and help preserve snow. But we can’t do it alone.
Would you like to help?
Plant your legacy by donating a tree to Teal’s Tango.
A contribution of $150 covers a 4ft tree, delivery and planting

There have been come regulations changes for Grey. These are the latest updates:

  • Mask rules still apply. Please keep a clean and dry mask to wear within 50 metres of the facility.
  • Seasons Pass holders will need to collect their items out of the locker. We won’t be able to access those during Lockdown
  • The washrooms will remain open. You are not allowed to change inside.
  • The Granary, Rockside Room, Cafe, Boxlunch Room and Team Room will be closed to the public.
  • Our ProShop and Service Desk will be able to continue in person shopping to a limited number of people. We will still be offering Trackside Pick Up if that is what you prefer. Appointments will still be required for ski, boots and poles.
  • Lessons will not be offered during Lockdown.

Remember to limit your time inside to 15 minutes. You may have to wait outside if our building capacity is reached.

Welcome to March! Chanse is out there working away in the groomer. It has been slow going but the Husky is doing a wicked job. It is chewing everything up nicely. It will be fast today since we went from warm, to rain to cold. But it is tilling up nicely to get a good edge in. Skate skiers this is what you live for! We did loose some base in last night rain and wind (wind is a bigger snow killer than anything), but thankfully we have some base to spare 😋 Please respect our closing time. Open daily from 8:30 to 4:30. Open until 8 on Wednesday and Fridays for Night Skiing.

Fat biking is open.  Riding is in good shape today even after the rain. The dropping temperatures has done it job to get us out riding today. Very low tire pressure (8PSI or less) will be key and you can’t have tires less than 3.8 inches.

We have been saying it for a while now but we will be cracking down even more…A BUFF IS NOT A MASK. Please keep a clean and dry mask to wear within 50 metres of the facility.

Big news of the day is that we are heading back into Grey as of Monday March 1st. Our trails will be able to remain open, but it does mean the building will be limited again. The main thing will be the building will only be open for washroom use. All Service and ProShop items will be done Trackside and MUST be ordered in advance.

Today will all about timing. Make sure to get out for your ski early this morning. It is going to be very good skiing first thing. By noon it will be getting soft. There is a 30% chance of rain starting at 1, but its possible it might hold off until the very end of the day. Fingers crossed! Chanse has regroomed everything. It will be fast in the  morning and slowing down in the afternoon. Please respect our closing time. Open daily from 8:30 to 4:30. Open until 8 on Wednesday and Fridays for Night Skiing.

Fat biking is open. If you are getting out for a ride today make sure to come in the morning. We will close the trails in the afternoon (1pm) as riding in the soft and wet conditions can do a lot of damage to the trails. Trails will be quite good in the morning and but would just downright suck my mid afternoon. Pun intended…the trails would literally suck you in.
