Our policies for RED are now updated. Please make sure you take the time to read everything before you come for a ski. Click here.

We respectfully request all our trail users follow government guidelines regarding essential travel.

A little dusting of snow overnight to make for some gorgeous trails! Chanse has regroomed and it is looking amazing out there. Now before we get a million questions, yes the tracks are on the left side. This helps to compact the trails. Skate skiers pack the trail down harder. Switching it up every once in a while will allow for the track to stay firm and pack the base on that side of the trail. With our fancy new machine we can do it easily as it has a double track setter! Just pull out the tea and biscuits and pretend we are British this weekend.  We have moved back into Red Zone. Please read the updates so you are aware of our policies. Please respect our closing time. Open daily from 8:30 to 4:30. Open until 8 on Wednesday and Fridays for Night Skiing.

Fat biking is open. Biking will be good. There will be some soft spots that require walking, but that’s just a fact of life for winter biking! Very low tire pressure (8PSI or less) will be key and you can’t have tires less than 3.8 inches.

We have been saying it for a while now but we will be cracking down even more…A BUFF IS NOT A MASK. Please keep a clean and dry mask to wear within 50 metres of the facility.

Contact Tracing and Active Screening must be done the for everyone coming onto the property the day they will be visiting. You cannot do this the night before. You can complete a form online. We request that you complete this before you show up. Note that cell service may not be good enough to do this onsite. Once the screening and tracing is complete you will receive an email that you will need to show at our health check station before you can head out to ski. Take a screen shot of your contact tracing so it is easy to find once you arrive! If the email you receive has comes back red, it mean you have answered YES to one of the screen questions. In that case you are NOT able to ski at our location that day. If the email you receive comes back green, we will see you on the trails shortly! We have a paper copy that can be done in person as a back up.

Click here to contact trace. This must be completed every day you come skiing!

Our conditions texting update program is back! We update the conditions page every morning, but sometimes things change through the day. With this program updates will come directly to you as a text. No app download required. Your phone number will not be shared. These updates are not to replace checking the conditions page, but to update you on changes through the day. Send you cell phone number to ski@highlandsnordic.ca

I hope you got the opportunity to play in the snow yesterday. We were in a beautiful winter wonderland. It just kept snowing! Conditions will be good today although quite soft. Chanse has gone out and regroom everything. It was a quiet day yesterday and to help try and pack things down for the days to come he actually groomed twice! With the amount of snow that came down it would have been hard to believe he went out at all 😂. All in all within 24hrs we received about 50cms of snow! At this point it looks like we might be skiing until May! We have moved back into Red Zone. Please read the updates so you are aware of our policies. Please respect our closing time. The weatherman was little off yesterday. Apparently when they said a 40% chance of 1 to 3 cm of snow in the afternoon, they meant a 100% of snow all day. Beautiful fluffy snow came down throughout the day yesterday. The trails are outstanding! With the cold temperatures and fresh snow it will be slow today but a perfect day for classic if you can choose. Make sure to wear proper layers today. Yes, it is cold but very little to no wind which can make all the difference! Please respect our closing time. Open daily from 8:30 to 4:30. Open until 8 on Wednesday and Fridays for Night Skiing.
