Chanse has taken the Husky out for a ride this morning. There has been a little dusting of snow. Trails will exquisite today! Please respect our closing time. Open daily from 8:30 to 4:30. Open until 8 on Wednesday and Fridays for Night Skiing.

Fat biking is open today. The trails are mostly good with a little bit of walking required in some sections. Some new trail features out there provided by Mother Nature! Very low tire pressure will be key. Remember to have at least 3.8 inch tires and 8PSI or less.

We have been saying it for a while now but we will be cracking down even more…A BUFF IS NOT A MASK. Please keep a clean and dry mask to wear within 50 metres of the facility.

After a meeting with public health we have needed to put more structure into place for our Trackside ordering and Ski Service. We are no longer able to do any in person ordering. This means for any items like wax, clothing or accessories you need to call us in advance to order and set up a time you will be coming to pick up or drop off. For ANY ski service; glide wax, applying grip, fixing equipment, cutting poles and so on will also need to arrange a drop off time in advance. We are able to offer same day service if you are waiting in your vehicle or out for a ski.

The Cafe will be put on hold until lockdown is over.

Contact Tracing and Active Screening must be done the for everyone coming onto the property the day they will be visiting. You cannot do this the night before. You can complete a form online. We request that you complete this before you show up. Note that cell service may not be good enough to do this onsite. Once the screening and tracing is complete you will receive an email that you will need to show at our health check station before you can head out to ski. Take a screen shot of your contact tracing so it is easy to find once you arrive! If the email you receive has comes back red, it mean you have answered YES to one of the screen questions. In that case you are NOT able to ski at our location that day. If the email you receive comes back green, we will see you on the trails shortly! We have a paper copy that can be done in person as a back up.

Click here to contact trace. This must be completed every day you come skiing!

Our conditions texting update program is back! We update the conditions page every morning, but sometimes things change through the day. With this program updates will come directly to you as a text. No app download required. Your phone number will not be shared. These updates are not to replace checking the conditions page, but to update you on changes through the day. Send you cell phone number to ski@highlandsnordic.ca

Chanse has gone around for a tidy up on the trails with the snowmobile. The track is still in really good shape from yesterday. I am pulling out my thesaurus to start describing the trails instead of just say same old excellent. The trails are exceptional today! There is suppose to be little bit of sun today which makes all the difference on these colder days. Please respect our closing time. Open daily from 8:30 to 4:30. Open until 8 on Wednesday and Fridays for Night Skiing.

Fat biking is open today. There is are still some sections that are drifted and require a little walking, but the rest of the network is good riding. It would not be a day for beginners. Remember to have at least 3.8 inch tires and 8PSI or less.

You will want to break out the warm woolies this week. We have some cold days ahead of us. I hope the cold doesn’t discourage you because the skiing is excellent right now. Make sure to have your proper layers and you will find its worth getting outside. Embrace winter! Chanse has regroomed everything with the Husky. Please respect our closing time. Open daily from 8:30 to 4:30. Open until 8 on Wednesday and Fridays for Night Skiing.

Fat biking is closed today. We had a rare wind free January and it seems like we might be making up for lost time. The drifting is still too challenging to open up the trails. If you are looking to still get outside snowshoeing the trail is a huge help. Remember to have at least 3.8 inch tires and 8PSI or less.

Another frosty day out there, but it seems like the wind won’t be as extreme as yesterday. But we will likely still see a little bit of drifting and snow cover today. Once you are in the trees it will be much nicer. Ski trails will be excellent again today, although they may get a little snow-covered as the day goes on. Please respect our closing time. Open daily from 8:30 to 4:30. Open until 8 on Wednesday and Fridays for Night Skiing.

Fat biking is closed today. The combo of drifting and new snow has made it a challenge for the groomers to get the trail open. They will continue to work on digging out. Snowshoeing the trail will help if you are interested in a woodsy walk. Remember to have at least 3.8 inch tires and 8PSI or less.

It is 100% winter out there today. We got some snow, we got some wind and we got some cold temperatures. But you know what they say; no bad weather just bad clothing choices. Come prepared with the right clothing and you will have a fun snowy fill time on the trails. In the trees it will be much nicer, in the open areas there will be some drifting. Ski trails will be in excellent, although they may get a little snow-covered as the day goes on. Please respect our closing time. Open daily from 8:30 to 4:30. There were some sun-dogs a couple days ago. We looked it up and it apparently means that snow is coming. And they were right! We had snow overnight and we are expecting snow during the day today. Chanse has gone around with the Husky, but you will find the trails a little snow-covered as it continues to snow. It is not suppose to be cold today but there is some wind out there. In the open areas there will be some drifting. Trails are excellent and snowy! Please respect our closing time. Open daily from 8:30 to 4:30. Open until 8 on Wednesday and Fridays for Night Skiing.

Fat biking is now closed today due to the amount of drifting out there. Remember to have at least 3.8 inch tires and 8PSI or less.

Another day of great ski trails! How lucky we have been this winter (touch wood). All trails have been regroomed. Looks like we will be getting some more sun today, with little to no wind. Sounds like a perfect day to be outside. Grip wax of the day will change as it warms up. Suggested wax will be for the morning. Please respect our closing time. Open daily from 8:30 to 4:30. Open until 8 on Wednesday and Fridays for Night Skiing.

Fat biking is open today. Riding will be good today, especially where the Fat Bike and Snowshoe trail are the same. It will be softer in other sections. Make sure to keep you PSI low. Please do not ride on the ski trail. Remember to have at least 3.8 inch tires and 8PSI or less.

We have been saying it for a while now but we will be cracking down even more…A BUFF IS NOT A MASK. Please keep a clean and dry mask to wear within 50 metres of the facility.

Chanse has let the Husky “out of the cage” 😂. He has gone around to groom everything. It looks like we are in for a really nice day, although it is suppose to be a little windy. This means you will find some drifting in the open areas. In the trees it will be really nice. Please respect our closing time. Open daily from 8:30 to 4:30. Open until 8 on Wednesday and Fridays for Night Skiing.

Fat biking is open today. Riding will be good today. The trail has bee groomed this morning. You will find some drifting in the Quarry section. Remember to have at least 3.8 inch tires and 8PSI or less.

Another fresh morning out there, but it suppose to warm up nicely to -8 today. With the cold snow it will be slow, but conditions are excellent. Chanse has regrouped everything. It is going to be cold today so make sure to pack lots of layers. Just need to remind everyone that the building is for WASHROOM USE ONLY. We can’t have any changing or warm ups in the building.
